Family.
I was born and raised in San Diego, California and couldn't have lived in a better place. I have a wonderful Filipino family led by two great parents who taught me good principles and values based upon the teachings of the gospel. My mother's family discovered the church when she was young and my father was baptized three years after marrying my mom. They have raised us in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is a picture of my whole family just a month after my brother returned from two years of serving as a missionary in the New York New York North mission teaching in American Sign Language. We are at the San Diego LDS temple waiting for close family friends to come out and congratulate them on being sealed for time and all eternity in the Lord's house.
Marriage.
I was married on August 10, 2012 to a wonderful man named Austin Terry. We were sealed for time and all eternity at the San Diego LDS temple. We met while attending college at Brigham Young University - Idaho while serving as I-Rep partners for the Get Connected program, the new student orientation at the beginning of every semester. We grew from volunteer partners, to classmates, to friends, to boyfriend and girlfriend, to fiancee and fiance and now finally to husband and wife. We currently reside in Puyallup, Washington. As we merge into this new life as a married couple, we hope to incorporate all of the good principles and values we learned as we were growing up in the church. We hope to raise a big family and fulfill our roles as parents in helping our children receive the same blessings and happiness that we have received.
Education.
I am a junior at Brigham Young University - Idaho studying Communication. I plan on receiving my associate's degree from that university and then transferring to a new school wherever my husband's job takes us. I am currently a full-time online student however I attend BYU-Idaho on campus from 2010-2012. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and the experiences that have made me who I am today. I am grateful for the leadership opportunities I had in the church and in service groups. I was a member of the Student Support council which was a wonderful service opportunity to the students there to help them integrate into the environment and into college life. I plan on finishing school and pursuing a Communication bachelor's degree. I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, outdoor activities, service, cooking, nannying, learning new skills, trying new things and spending time with my loved ones.
